Applications are peer reviewed by a group of committees comprised of massage therapists with experience in education. Committees are provided with the proposals along with relevant survey and evaluation data to guide them in their decision-making. AMTA is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) as an Approved Provider of continuing education.
