Board Member

Dawn is an accomplished and dedicated massage therapist with over 19 years of experience in the field. Throughout her career, she has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to both her clients and the advancement of the massage therapy profession.

For the past two years, she has served as a board member for the Ohio chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), where her contributions have played a vital role in the organization's growth and the development of its community. In addition to her leadership within the AMTA, Dawn is an active volunteer in her local community. She is passionate about maintaining her personal well-being and enjoys activities such as working out at Steadfast CrossFit, hiking, gardening, and spending quality time with her two dogs.

In her current role, Dawn is deeply engaged in shaping the future of AMTA, focusing on expanding its presence both at the state and national levels. By reducing her clinical hours, she has prioritized dedicating more time to supporting AMTA and its members, understanding that the organization's success is rooted in the strength of its community. Dawn is committed to advocating for the massage therapy profession, engaging with both current and future members, and providing leadership to ensure the continued growth of the association.

Dawn has also returned to her roots at Columbus State Community College, where she began her massage therapy education, to serve as an Adjunct Faculty member. With a newfound passion for teaching, she takes great pride in guiding and inspiring the next generation of massage therapists. Furthermore, Dawn is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Sciences. She aims to combine her expertise in massage therapy with her interest in animal welfare, with aspirations to teach at Columbus State and volunteer as a manual therapist for exotic and endangered animals at rehabilitation and conservation centers.
With her extensive experience, unwavering passion for massage therapy, and dedication to community service, Dawn continues to make a meaningful and lasting impact on both the AMTA and the massage therapy profession.
